Synergy Yoga Presents:

Awakening
Heart Coherence

Saturday, Feb. 4th, 2012
3:30 - 5:30pm

Heart Coherence is a catalyst for the harmonious flow of information, cooperation, and order to resonate through all systems of the human structure. Ancient wisdom and recent research shows, it is the rhythm of the heart that sets the beat for the entire system. The heart's rhythmic beat influences brain processes that control the autonomic nervous system, cognitive function, and emotions. By changing the rhythm of the heart, system-wide dynamics can be quickly and dramatically changed.

In this Synergy Presentation we will explore timeless yogic wisdom in addition to the most up to date research into the field of Heart Coherence. We will come to understand how Heart Coherence profoundly affects all systems of the body and how it is an achievable state of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being for any one who learns to incorporate some simple practices into their daily life. We will conclude with an experiential Heart Centered Meditation practice that you can begin to add to your life right away. Wear warm, comfortable clothing.

Heart Centered Meditation

Saturdays, 9:00 - 10:00 am
also at Roots and Wings

Heart Centered Meditation engages and brings focus to a small but potent clump of cells nestled within a chamber of the heart that activates the inherent intelligence of this often under-estimated organ. Thus returning the heart to its natural state as an 'organ of acute perception'. This technique leaves the mind chatter issue to resolve naturally on its own as the heart increases its long forgotten resonant capabilities. This technique, taken from the pages of ancient yogic text, offers us a way to develop a transcendent meditation practice that explores altered states of consciousness and spiritual evolution. This is not your average meditation practice, but a transmission of potent evolutionary forces given to humanity at the time of our conception in the womb.

Our meditation time will begin with a brief period of movement and breath work followed by about 25 minutes of meditation while maintaining concentrated awareness of the heart. A brief time for sharing is reserved for the conclusion of our meditation. Beginners and experienced meditators are most welcome.

"Planting The Heart Seed Of Awakening"

We typically think of wakefulness as belonging to the mind; yet on the yoga path, wakefulness means not only having mental clarity
but also having great capacity for sensitivity and feeling in the heart. How is it that one generates wakefulness in the heart?
By insight into the impermanence of all things, the fragility of being, and the inevitable fact of our own death.
